| Swamiji, currently 83 years of age, was spiritually
inspired at age of 10. At an early age of 16, he left his parents to
seek realization, The journey to realization took Swamiji to various
origins of the Holy River, mountains, and Jungles. He performed tapasya
in midst of ferocious animals for 10 years, and was blessed with
spiritual realization. After realization, Swamiji took sanyas in
Rishikesh in 1971. Soon after this,
Swamiji founded Brahm Kul (Divine
Family). At Brahm Kul, devotees
practiced oneness with humanity, and gathered for realization of soul,
supreme God and nature. During this period, Swamiji completed his
college education and got M.A. and Ph. D.
In
1972, Swamiji established YOGA ASHRAM in the jungle on the bank of river
Narmada. Being near to auspicious surrounding of Narmada River, Swamiji
performed tapasya for another 15 years in nearby caves, in addition to
administering the YOGA ASHRAM.
When the ashram was drowned because of Indira Sagar
dam project, he shifted the ashram to Dev Dharm
(10KM from Indore, MP, India) in 1980.
This Ashram is functioning and expanding even today.
Swamiji has traveled several times through U.S.,
Europe, Canada, England and Asia to spread the word of Vedas,
meditation, yoga and religion.
